Tribute & Message From The Family

Sharon K. Staggs, 67, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family after battling a lengthy illness.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Cemetery, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.

Sharon was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Arizona to James K. and Genevieve Deemer. She was the oldest of their three children and was fortunate to spend her early life traveling and living all over the world. Her life experiences shaped her into the friendly, outgoing, loving person her friends and family will always remember.

In 1964, she moved to Fort Worth and was employed by General Dynamics for the next 41 years until retirement. She was fortunate enough to meet and work with so many wonderful people during that time and she touched each of them with her big smile as well as her big heart. She was always full of life and laughter and made everything she did fun. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, not to mention the best dance partner anybody ever had. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors: Her loving husband of 36 years, C.W. Staggs; daughter, Samantha Powers; son, Chad Staggs; granddaughter, Sierra; grandson, Chance; her mother, Genevieve; sister, Debbie; brother, James; nieces, Amanda and Ashley; and nephew, Zach, who loved their aunt "Cissie" very much.

Condolence & Memory Journal

CW, Samantha, and Chad, We want to express our deep sympathy on losing Sharon Kay. She was always a hoot in the group we were in together. I started working in May 1977 and truly her personality made it fun to come to work. We remember coming to some Halloween parties when you were very young and we always had a good time. That is the way you want to remember her; as a great person who loved to live. It is great that you have been there for her and CW. We are glad to have known her.
